Default Exhaust Note?

Maybe I am just a dumbass, but I have just gotten 3" exhaust all the way back with a 3" high flow cat and just a random muffler (magnaflow I believe) in prep for turbo. Is there a reason that my exhaust sounds like shit in higher rpms? (after about 4k) It's deep in low rpms but sounds like crap in higher rpms? Not enough airflow maybe? I don't really want to waste my money on a header that I am going to have to take off and get rid of when I get the turbo. Any help is appreciated.

It's just your noise... different motors have different "notes"

yeah the bigger the motor the deeper the noise. its like the sound of an N1 on a 2.4 liter cavalier. sounds decent but its a lot deeper.

In a way it does...unfortunately

noise is consistent from 4k-bout 5 and a half...then you just basically hear engine noise...but until then it sounds like shit.

i'm thinkin thats normal for a Honda, but i dunno. It should go away once u get that turbo though. Until then you can probably get a silencer.

Default Muffler

The resonater you have will filter out the low notes, for a nice sweet sound, however, the muffler is designed specifically for getting rid of high notes, an inexpensive muffler could be your culprit. No offense. Hope that helps.
