Anybody know someone that used to own a CTS-V?
I'm trying to track down the previous owner of my car. It was traded in to Mike Duman Auto Sales in Suffolk. It is a black '05 CTS-V with a Magnaflow cat-back. I'm trying to find out more info on the car if possible. Any help would be appreciated.
Exactly. I want to find out any history on the car so I can find all the problems and fix them. The dealer won't release previous info due to the privacy act statement.
Simplistik:
If the car seems in good shape, have a Cadillac dealer do a pre-purchase inspection (PPI) on the V to see if there are any warts. If you are anywhere near Lindsay Cadillac (www.LindsayCadillac.com), I'd suggest having them do the PPI. I owned a 2004 CTS-V and loved the car.

Most of those are wear items even if the car wasn't driven hard. Call Luke Butler at Lindsay and see if he of their service department can pull the history of the car. If it's been serviced at a Caddy dealer, it should be in the system.
The V is a great car!

Exactly. Basically everything supporting the drivetrain is crap parts. I checked with Suttle here in Newport News, but all they could give me was the stuff that GM has paid for, in other words, replaced under warranty. The T56 in it was replaced about a thousand miles before I bought the car. It does tell me the locations where the warranty work was done. I just need to get off my lazy ass and either drop by or call them to get the complete service record.
