Classified Changes
This thread is to discuss the changes made to the various classified forums today (2008/12/17).
The most obvious change is the forum layout. For the most part this should be self-explanatory.
However, users should note that the following forums are now closed to ANY new posts as they are redundant:
The next big change to the classified forums is the requirement that you select a thread prefix when creating a new thread. There is a drop down box in front of the thread title text field which lets you select from the most common types of threads made in the classified forums: FS, WTB, FT and FS/FT. You can search based on these to help find items easier.
Please note that you do not need to add those prefixes to your thread title, the forum software will add it automatically.
Feel free to post if you have any questions regarding the new forum layout.
FAQ

Q: Can you delete my old thread?

Re: Classified Changes
Correct. No new posts can be made in any of the archive forums.
If you're not the OP of the thread and are interested I'd suggest PM'ing the user with a link to their old thread so they know what you're talking about.
If they are in the 2 above mentioned forums, yes you should remake them.

Re: Classified Changes
From what I gather so far, all old threads will be deleted eventually, so you might want to make a new thread in the appropriate forum. When you do, please notify us that you have created a new thread and would like your old one closed. Do this by opening your old post and reporting it to us with the reason of "created a new thread, please delete". It is against the rules to have multiple F.S. threads for the same item and will earn you an infraction if you do not.
Feel free to let your old threads ride without making a new one if you'd like, just know that eventually (and probably without warning) it will get deleted.
