suspension
would blown front shock make a car shake at around 60-65mph
its a 2000 civic dx
and if so would tokico blues be a good choice for a decent drop?
or how about the kYB GR2
and possibly the skunk 2 sport shocks
i am a college student on a decently tight budget so dont go recomending for me to spend a million dollars on suspension.
thanks in advanced

Re: suspension
bad tires(uneven wear or warped), alignment, wheel bearing, theres alot that can cause a shake at highway speeds. I'd check those 3 in that order, then see where you are.

Re: suspension
Well it is "possible", but when a shock goes bad, weight reverts to the spring. With only 1 bad shock, the weight difference from side to side could be causing the "bad shock side" to be going from resting on the spring's load, to raising the shock up some. This would cause a noticeable shudder and some immediate over/understeer, but not a constant shake at highway speeds.
Do you spin your tires alot? Did you buy them new? It only takes a small warp in 1 single tire to cause a shake.

Re: suspension
I personally don't have any experience with after market springs to know the differences between drops and ride, but I know those 2 you mentioned are pretty decent. I'm sure some others could chime in with more helpful info on em.

Re: suspension
The GR2s are fine for what you are doing. I'd recommend SKunk2 springs.
Check your outter and inner tie-rods. Jack the car up and grab the wheel, if it moves when you shake it then check the ball joints.

Re: suspension
i dont need springs..i got that covered..so will the GR2s be fine with a 2.5 inch drop and not bottom out?
and the wheels dont move ive tried that, but how do you check tie rod ends?
