Couple questions, looking to get rid of the fart cannon on my IS with something less obvious but still a little louder then the silent stock exhaust...

1) Where should I go to get a simple oval exhaust mounted up and welded in? I'm also looking to delete the resonator in the B pipe, just a simple cut off, weld a pipe where it is...

2) Those of you who have done something similar to this, about how much am I looking at spending?

Take it to Whitey's in chantilly, they do fantastic work (search them). I'm going to bet around 75 to around 90.

 

mang just pay less than 300 for an HKS dragger 2. one of the quietest exhaust for IS

 

I have the hiper... I don't like it anymore...

I ended up taking it to whiteys, he quoted around $120. So new magnaflow, double wall 4" tip installed for around 260$

magnaflow I think is louder. isn't it? they sound very nice

 

Magnaflow will be quieter than the hiper, but louder than a WS2... should give a nice deep rumble... but by no means loud.

 

Magnaflow make fantastic mufflers. I'm rocking one.
