Need help with fan clutch nut, will pay
in my older bmw, i need to remove the mechanical fan to do a thermostat replacement..
I did what I was supposed to do....get a wrench on it, and smack it with a hammer to the right since it has left hand threads....this doesnt work as the waterpump puller (what the fan nut goes onto) spins/slips regardless of the serp belt
then i used a big screw driver between 2 bolts on the waterpump pulley to prevent the pulley from spinning while I again try to loosen the fan....this doesnt work either
can anyone help?...will pay

wow, we just jammed a long pry bar in there, took us all of 30 seconds.
god, i'm glad we didn't waste our time using a air chisel. lol
