i have a ITR head i was wondering..i think stock ITRs are reving up to 84-8600 rpms..i think not to sure..i was wondering if i bought some springs and valves would i be able to raise redline upto 9200 rpms...

i was thinking Jun valves and springs and running stock ITR retainers.

 

I wouldn't trust the stock retainers, but they may hold up. What cams?

crowler makes a valve spring kit with retainers to hold 9k rpm

 

anything with titanium springs and retainers should hold 9k

you could increase your redline with upgraded springs and retainers, but those cams will stop making power before that... it would really be a waste of time unless you upgrade to cams that will make power up that high in the rpm band.

(i had CTR's that peaked at 8400 on an lsvtec)

 

yeah but im turbo..and my turbo is large and i make power all the way to redline..8K and its still pulling..i want to at least go 9 grand i think ill make power up there.

 

well if u still can make power up there thats cool but its not gonna be ur cams making it but ur turbo like u said, but if u get cams itll be even better cause ull make MORE power up there

 

ill do some research on turbo cams, but the only reason im increasing rev limit is cause of the turbo thats all......i mean it doesnt help that im running a stock gsr ECU so i can only go to 8K anyways i know ican rev the ITR head a little higher say 84-8600. thanks for the info..on to honda-tech
