Default Car wont idle enough to stay on: HELP

Just put in a new Gs-r motor in my integra bc my friend messed up the other one.... Long story.

But the car will not start right up unless given gas and will not stay idle. The same gas from october 31st, 2008 is still in the tank. I have replaced the pcv valve, and fuel filter and spark plugs. Not really any change. The car was obd2 but now has obd1 in it. I have a conversion harness and its running on a JDM Obd1 p72. So is the fact that the computer is JDM and the motor is not the problem, or is it the gas? Or could it be something else. Could someone please give me some ideas

Try another OBD1 ECU. Also, do a compression test. Any CEL?

check engine light... CEL

i think he's assuming that you've done the normal checks. spark fuel etc. thermal know's his shit... i know first hand.

also... october isnt that long. once you get up over 4 months u might have trouble, but mine sat almost a year and started right up.

sometimes with the obd1 ecu the map and tps can be switched and still not throw a cel due to the same 5volt reference needed. try switching your map and tps plugs and see if that fixes it. if not pm me

okay this is weird.... or maybe im that dumb... um, Okay the new motor I put in is a 95 gsr, obd1, the old one is obd2b.... everyone said my old obd2 p72 wouldnt work... I tried it anyway and it starts up just fine, still has a slight idle problem but is a tiny bit better. Is it safe to continue using the obd2b computer?
