Any sunroof gurus?
My sunroof is halfway out the car, i.e. it's too far forward to fit in the hole. Motor's still hooked up and it will move it a little but that's it.
Any sunroof gurus want to spend a Saturday helping me try to figure it out? Don't have much money to offer, but how about beer?

Bimmer? Sorry, I should have said what kind of car it is. It's a Benz (w126 chassis). I think I actually figured it out last night, and it seems pretty easy now that I've got the sunroof out, but I have to wait until next weekend to get the "new" parts because the guy who is letting me use his parts car is out of town this weekend.
My brother has an e39 540 though...

So...I more or less have it, there's too much friction in the system because there is a bend in the tube that runs from the trunk (this car has a two piece tube, one goes from trunk to back of sunroof, and enough runs the length of the sunroof and slides over that one), but I can't figure how to bend it back without kinking it, ideas?
Also, could this too much friction be the reason why it can push the roof up when closing but can't bring it back down enough to retract it?
