Default Help!! No Boost!!

hey guys, my friend just got his turbo kit installed on his '99 eclipse gs...it was installed at millenium...brought the car to my place after i got outta work only to find that the car gets ZERO boost...as in...it doesn't stay in vaccuum, it gets to ZERO and doesn't rise...note that there's a small tear in one of the i/c pipes(hole) but my guess is that if the wastegate is working correctly it should still make good gobs of boost am i right? someone help me on this

He's right. I had the j pipe coming out of my Big16g not tightened all the way and I could get almost no boost. If you got a hole, then the "pressurized" system cannot keep pressure. JB Weld and Duct Tape will hold temporarily under low boost, but that pipe really needs to be replaced. You probably just spend a lot of time and money on that turbo kit, don't get ghetto now.

probably hole somewhere else where you can't see it and you are losing boost there and not in the hole that you are checking.
