Tranny problem
Ok so i have an sr20det i went and started my car and it well not go into gear out of no where.I basically had to slam it into 1st gear.its making a weired kluncking sound or something like that lol.but 1st is the only gear that is hard to go into.and i can shift perfectley when its off.so i think its the throw out bearing but not forsure and figured i could use some input so lmk what u think.thanx in advanced
If you can shift into other gears it most likely is not the throwout bearing. Throwout bearings cause clutch engagement problems, which will affect all gears equally. It sounds like you probably have a synchro problem or a loose/misaligned shift linkage. I'm leaning toward a synchro problem, because a shift linkage problem would tend to affect shifting whether the engine is running or not. Misalignment is misalignment.
Is it easier to get into first if while you're moving at a certain speed, or do you have to be standing still to get it into gear?
Basically, you're looking for a problem that only affects one gear, and only while the engine is running.
