Angry trade rating bug?

everytime i buy or sell something i leave/give a trade rating.

the Deal URL section always fucks up.

I copy and paste the deal threads URL into the section, and it ALWAYS says "the deal thread URL was invalid"?

any ideas?

a while back it wasnt required, but now it is before you submit the feedback?

is there a way to make it optional? or just turn it off?

b/c it took me 5 min to find a URL that actually worked, and it wasnt even for the items that i purchased, just a random classified link?

any help?

thanks?

The URL must be from one of the classified forums.

Correct, if it was from the Classifieds ARCHIVES which you can only view now it will not work.

It was from a classified section?

I bought a joe rocket jacket out of cucle corner classifieds.

I've also tried to do it with a link from engine parts classifieds.

TheGentleart is having the same problem he was the seller of the jacket I bought last night?

The cycle and 4x4 classified forums were missing from the list of valid forums, they should work now. The engine parts sub-forum should have worked though.

The requirements to leave an trade rating are the following: the URL must be from a thread that is in one of the classified sub-forums that is open for posting (i.e. none of the archive forums will work) AND one of the two people the rating is for must have created the thread.

Get what turned off? The requirement to have a URL? No, that is staying on. You can thank the people that decided to use trader rating as a form of reputation, giving people bogus trade ratings for lulz.

A users trade rating is serious fucking business, not to be used as a joke, as it really is the only way to tell if a user is at least somewhat legit or not. Plus, as you mentioned, it allows people to actually check up on the past deals a person has made.
