For Rent:Fender rolling tool
Both Cosmo and Sung OK'd this thread.I want to keep this local for now,so I don't have to deal with shipping this thing....Plus I can come to your house if you rip me off
I have an Eastwood fender rolling tool for rent.This tool is used to roll fender lips,and can be used to pull the whole fender out to allow clearance for wider tires and/or lower offset wheels.I'm renting it for two reasons;
1-When I needed to do my car,I couldn't find anybody locally that had the right equipment. Now that I have it,might as well let other people around here use it instead of them having to buy one only to use it once or drive a good distance to pay somebody else to do it.
2-To help recoup some of my cost of buying the tool.
The cost is $50,with a $250 deposit. In other words, you give me $300,and I give you $250 back upon receiving the tool in the same condition it was given in.If you break or damage it,you keep it,and I keep your $300.The $50 covers the initial rental period(to be agreed upon at time of rental). If you keep it longer than agreed upon,it's $50 more per week.
A heat gun is also needed.I will rent mine for $20.My suggestion is to go to Harbor Freight and just buy your own for $10-$20.These things tend to take a dump on a regular basis,so i'm basing the rental price on the assumption I'll be buying a new pretty frequently.
I took some pics the other day to show exactly what this thing does.
Honkin Meat,rubbing fender lip:

Tool attached:

Fender before and after.lip rolled almost 90 degrees so it's flush up against the backside of the outer fender skin, gains about 1/4".The whole fender edge pulled out about 1/4".Total gained about 1/2",and now clears the tire:

PM me for any questions or to set up a rental.
Thanks
Chris

Definitly cool of you to offer this. Always wondered how well one of these worked. Looks like it does a better job then the old way of using a wooden baseball bat
. I'll definitly keep this in mind if I decide to run a staggered set up on my G8.

Chris is that the Red FD that was on lee highway for months!? if it is I'm begging you for a ride in it
I almost bought that car but the owner changed his mind on me, probably because of you! :P

I may be interested in renting that from you Ive been wanting to roll my rears for a while now so I can get a little more tire under there. I'm curious though is there adapters for different lug patterns or do I just cross my fingers
That's the LS1 FD, right? I think the local LS1 FD is the one that was sold from Virginia Beach. I've always liked that car--especially the wheel selection.

i'd love to find a red FD though.
i love that thing, and the wheel selection.just when i had gotten over the notion of selling everything i own in order to build an LSx/FD,he brings it back to have the rear fenders done....dammit,now i'm all over it again.
