No need to use the hand brake and speedo tap. Just use the "count down" function. Here:

very vouge picture i still dont know what the wires are coming off the timer itself lol

i know that one purple is speedo and the other is the ebrake thing so are the other the same as the ones on ignition

 

If you are still having problems spend the extra 15-20 bucks and get the quick connect harness from online.

 

huh? The wires that are tapped on the ignition are the wires from the timer. Like this:

Red on timer= White on ignition
Green on timer= Blk/Yel on ignition
Blue on timer= is the only one that is not clear on the pic. But if you take apart your igntion cover, it should be super easy to figure out. I just dont want to take mine apart just to verify the color..... otherwise, as mentioned above, look for the conversion harness....

 

Just buy the harness connector from a store. It makes it so easy. It is just plug and play at that point. Unless you have already cut the harness off the turbo timer. Then you would need to either hard wire that or wire the harness back on. It comes out being like $20 shipped.
