couple nasty projects
a little spring cleaning action at the shop today so we pulled a couple projects out we are working on.had my cam in the car so i took a few pics.
01 50th anniversary xj,12in long arm,37in baja claws,locked,geared,bumpered.etc.the list of parts is a mile long,i could go on for days listing the parts and labor involved in this build but you get the picture.
04 ram 2500 12in lift soon to be 14in.40in pro comp mts,20in fb xds, locked, geared.we bombed the 5.7 thats in it so we are in the process of building a 6.1 punched out to a 7.0.should be pretty sick when its finished but to bad this truck will never see mud its sol purpose is to look good trailoring the xj to crawling events.

Yea stock axles are perfect for 37s on an XJ. LOL. And you decided to throw some 40s on a truck thats a dedicated tow rig.... and is a gasser?
Nice looking dodge, just needs a 5.9 in it.

well zack, the xj has a 8.25 in it now but is being replaced with a ected locked 44 with 4.88s and the 30 thats up front isnt stock and will handle just about anything you can throw at it.its a project that is still in progress.and the dodge is getting a built 6.1 in it so im not worried about that 5.9.and if needed to be towed anywhere further than 100 miles away we have a diesel that will get the job done just fine.thanks for your sarcasm though.
Unless that Dana 30 is made out of Chuck Norris semen it'll break. Why would you piss money away on that thing? For a little more money than what you "built" that axle for you could have put a 44 or even a 60 under it. What exactly are the specs?
And I would recommend upgrading the steering by adding hydraulic assist or going full hydraulic if funds allow it.
I would also lower it a couple inches, cut the fenders, and make a flat belly pan.
Good looking Jeep though.
