I lucked into a factory 5spd MX73 Cressida
I have a *lot* of cars right now, so I'm not 100% certain that I'm keeping it (offers welcome), but I lucked into this car yesterday.
133k, immaculate aesthetic condition except for some oxidized paint, and some mechanical problems, but nothing too terribly serious.
I'd never even seen a factory 5spd MX73 before yesterday. It is totally 80's cool inside, including electrically-adjustable suspension.
Anyway, yay for me. I already posted pics in the "purchase" thread, but I figured that this was neat/uncommon enough to warrant it's own thread. Feel free to give me shitty rep if you disagree, lol.

Re: I lucked into a factory 5spd MX73 Cressida
Can someone please tell me why this car is cool?
Not being sarcastic, or talking shit, but seriously, never heard of it, and am wondering what's so cool about it?

Eh, if you want a 4dr RWD Japanese sedan for not a lot of money, there aren't many options. This is one of the few available.
Besides, it's easy to swap a 1JZ or 7MGTE into it and have a really fast, lightweight, uncommon car.
In the case of this particular car, it's a factory 5spd, which is VERY rare (500 imported over the life of the chassis). For someone who doesn't want to go to the trouble of swapping and wants to keep the 5MGE, this is the way to go.
