i dropped the oil pan....and this is what i find....my guess is thrust bearings....

 

can i drive without them.....please dont tell me i have 2 take everything apart to fix this....HELP!

 

NOOOOOO, yup gonna have to take it apart......gotta check the crank....

 

there only washers,and there 10 bucks from bapgeon.


easy as crap to install but very important when it comes to keeping the crank in its spot.

also need to check the block and make sure it isnt torn up at all from the crank grinding on it

 

Although it doesn't look like the thrust bearing was grinded up. I would definitely change that block's oil filter,check the vtec solenoid screen, and oil pump pick up strainer for trash. Check the cam journals also for scratches. There's nothing like pumping aluminum shavings throughout the engine.

 

yes go in there and check all of your clearances and make sure there is no scaring

 

sucks ass i cant put these n while the motor is still n the car

 

Tear that bitch completely down. You may find that there is more damage somewhere else.
