Default need header cearance help

I am working on a car for a friend. It is a crx with a b16a2 swap. I am trying to install a 4 into 1, 1 piece header. The problem is that it was hitting the front cross member (the one that attaches to frame rails and the control arms). So i removed it, now that the header is installed the cross member wil not go back on. what is the cure for this do i cut it? leave it off or is there an aftermarket one i can use to replace it.

thanks for the help

Cutting it is never recomended but alott of people do it because they are cheap, The proper way would be to use a stock header to clear it if you dont have the funds for an aftermarket Traction Bar/Crossmember, Then it will fit.

cutting wont be a problem, as long as you box it. Not just hack it up.

won't know til your friend wrecks, and then it's win-win for you...either it works and he survives, thanking you or he dies and never knows it was your fault. Enjoy your life of guilt

serious though, boxing will be fine as long as it's a small portion of the beam. I saw a show where they used some fraction as a max, if i could find it again I would give it to you.
