i park mine in gear anyways but i was just worndering how to fix the problem. and what dose it have to do with the back brakes being adjusted properly, i think they might be getting worn down
when you pull your e-brake it just applies pressure to your back brakes. hence the reason why if you adjust them properly it will work properly. it might just be the cable though. take it to a brake shop. i know big al's does free estimates.
