I read the "before you post" thread, etc... and I think this is a bit unique.

I've got a special classic car with a motor swap. I need some custom parts made and installed. For example, I need an alternator bracket fabricated out of aluminum plate, and welded to the top of an aluminum motor mount. I also need a custom skid plate fabricated.

I'm looking for a shop with true craftsmen that are good with metal working, tearing down and rebuilding cars. I'm looking for precision, high-quality work. Shops that specialize in full restorations and heavy custom fabrication work preferred. Someone who builds a lot of hot rods from scratch would be pretty much perfect.

I didn't see anyone who really matches this. But I also know this isn't a "hot rod" crowd. Anyone know of a shop like this in NOVA / Mid Atlantic?

 

You could try bubba's up in fairfax circle. they do all hotrods/american muscle stuff.

Also hit up www.switchbackracing.com this is a shop that only does fabrication and is great withr tigging and fabrication with aluminum.

 

Yesterday I saw an aluminum exhaust that those guys did and it was some amazing welds. wouldn't hurt to call them and ask at least.

 

yea they did all my intercooler piping and intake. its show quality

you do but telling someone $1200 for some intercooler pipes and an intake is a bit ridiculous.
