88 RX7 10AE T2
1988 Mazda RX-7 10th Anniversary Edition Turbo
-The story. This car was taken in a trade deal, not running. Not much is known about it, just what the previous owner said which may be complete BS. You will see "according to previous owner" information in the following description, which is information that cannot be verified due to non-knowledge of these cars by me. Anyone is welcome to come check the car out, do compression tests, whatever they want to do if they're considering purchasing. I know that this car is rare, and a piece of rotary history, and would love to see someone get it and restore it to what it should be rather than parting it out or doing a v8 swap. The car is located in southwestern va and delivery can possibly be arranged with a non-refundable delivery fee up front.
-146442 miles on chassis.
-Exterior is a 8/10. No dents/dings that stand out, but does have a few scratches/spiderwebs in the paint. There is also 4 bolt holes in the back from an aftermarket wing, but can easily be fixed.
-Interior is a 9/10. The seats are freshly recovered and look great. The broken pieces include the drivers side door vent, and the main a/c vents are missing, but the surround is there.
-Visible mods are an open exhaust, ractive filter, the turbo is larger than a stock one (according to previous owner), and the car has been tuned (according to previous owner.)
-The car does NOT run, and not enough is known about rotary engines/rx-7's to figure out why. Go ahead and assume the worst that the motor is blown, but that may not be it. The previous owner also said that the car had a reman from mazda that was a couple of months old.
-The 10th AE badges, steering wheel cover, are still present. The 10AE wheels are not with the car, it has some sort of ricerific ICW wheels.
Price: $2500 OBO -- If the car isn't sold whole, it is likely that a part out thread will follow up, but please do not ask about buying anything off of this car right now, or call dibs on anything.
