Default $200 Cash to get this car started. 240 content inside.

1991 240 KA24DE.

First it wouldn't start at all. Sent it to CCC to have timing done and get the car running. CCC got the car running but there was a horrible idle problem (said to be vacuum leak). Fixed vacuum leak but after this the car had a surging idle problem. The car sounded like a cammed out v8. Someone stated injectors. Replaced those. Got to the point where it wasn't starting at all now. Put old injectors back in, still won't start. It's an annoying rollercoaster right now. Someone that knows more than us come get this thing runnning. Like, this weekend. Located in hampton. again....$200 cash.

ok 1st off some things that need to be known...

1) is this the original motor?
2) if not then how did all the installing? it might be a wiring issue
3) what sound is it making when you try to turn it over? could be the stater.
4) how are the spark plugs

all of the above is elemtary shit i know, but still, so many people look past the small shit

No, it's another motor. But CCC got the car runnning with it wired as is. All 4 plugs have spark. Just checked them. Starter is fine. We were able to start it last week. Even today it wanted to start for a bit when we swapped for the new injectors.

i suggest you mean the amount of fuel pressure from the valve on the fuel rail. As fuel pumps get old, the amount of pressure in the system decreases.

I don't have a obd1 reader, however I did do the little screw on the side of the ECU trick and got the red LED to blink code 12. Which is for a MAF, but that code I induced when I unplugged it to check it (with engine running per the guide). I have tried every trick in the book to clear it and still no go on that. I have another MAF which I ordered fresh and plugged it in still no go. So if anyone has an OBD1 reader that will connect to the consult port on the ECU so I can clear out the codes that would be great. Or maybe know someone who does or can help with this issue.
I think I have good fuel pressure because when I unhooked the fuel hose shit sprayed every where with a hell of a force. So I think there is plenty of pressure. Maybe it isn't enough pressure.
I'm really at a loss here.

forgot to mention, un-bolted the fuel rail with injectors and everything hooked up still. Had my roommate turn the car over to see if the injectors were spraying and sure enough they were.

mkay so the battery was a bit weak, so we took it out and charged it overnight. Put it back in the car this morning and the car fired right up. Car ran for a couple minutes just fine other than the idle issue. It's back to the vacuum leak type idle where it goes up and down. So we shut the car off for a sec to see if it would start back up. It won't. Is it possible that the battery is strong enough to turn the motor over but not start it? Could it be something as simple as that? Come on, nobody wants $200 to come get this shit workin?
