cant find it any where ticket was for speeding, 20 or more over (cops is full of S#!t) i was speeding but i wsa doing 42 in a 35 not 57 anyway may the cop made a mistake on this one i cant find 25-218 (10) anywhere nor 25-218 viginia traffic code is 46.2 and i cant find 46.2-25-218 little help please maybe its a city traffic code, ticket was in norfolk.

 

code 25-219 (10) means you can ignore the ticket. no court, no fines, no worries.

I would see if he has filed an i.d. 10 T report, just call the city clerk. Sounds like you might get out of this one.

Written by a city officer? If so, most likely it's a city traffic code. Cities write under that specific cities codes, each one mirrors a state code with some exceptions. It all has to do with the distribution of the money ( fees and fines).

 

i got a ticket for 44.2-848 as well thats failure to use signal. when changing lanes i found that one, why woudl he write one ticket under state traffic code and the other under city?

 

yes Norfolk city cop i looked in the city traffic violations and traffic code and still could not find it. i emailed the clerk her name is beth and she said to email her a copy or bring it to her office. but i already have to go to court so i dont see the point in driving there and just to find out im wrong then driving back next monday. so i emailed her back told her exactly what the ticket says and hopefully she will write me back with some more info.

had a consult with a lawyer who wants 600 retainer fee. anyway he pulled the city record they can do that he says to check my charges and even tho the ticket says 25-218 (which is in none of the law books they jump from 23-27) the actual transcript says 46.2-878 which is the authority to change speed limits seems to have nothing to do with speeding at all. so he said its very possible to get it dropped.

then he wen ton about 600 bux to retain him and hell fight and could probably get them dropped since i have no tickets in over 3 years. which im sure i could do my self. and the other lawyer said hed do it for 300, so if i do get a lawyer it will be the 300 one. but i think i might have a chance to get it dismissed on my own due to this idiots incompetence what do you guys think?
