NEED HELP New to Integra World
ok i just bought a 2000 DC2 integra with an LS motor in it which is currently being ran off the GSR ecu. I know i can buy a jumper harness for the car to run an obd1 ecu but from what i hear there is an immobilizer in these cars that wont allow them to start withough the correct ecu/key combonation. Can anyone shed some light on this problem?
Am i stuck with the gsr ecu or can i just go ahead and run the old ls ecu

Re: NEED HELP New to Integra World
The immobilizer is in the ECU, so if you change the ECU to an OBD1 ECU (which inherently doesn't have an immobilizer) you don't have to worry about anything else.. So with an OBD1 LS ECU you should be set.
I don't remember if the LS Integras had an immobilizer, so you may be able to use a OBD2 LS ECU also, without the adapter harness obviously. Something to look into if you need..

You'll still need an adapter harness to use an OBD2a ECU, but it will obviously be a different adapter harness than the OBD1 ECU will need...
