Gila Monster Lizard
Okay, where to start.. I ended up buying this from an Exotic Pet store located in Florida.. I brought it back with me however the girlfriend nor anyone else is liking it here..
It IS poisonous, however it wont kill you by any means. It just swells up and you get a throbbing pain there for like 20 minutes. Its honestly not that bad haha.
Ive got him in a 100 gallon tank currently. I forgot the lamps Im using atm, theres 3 of them.
Ive always handled him WITH gloves:

I paid 3,900 for him. Im only asking 1,100. Hes got to go. Oh ya, he eats a rabbit every other week =D

My price is great, consider it an already full grown 2 year old male with a loooong life left with a good home!
These are VERY delicate pets. There just like Chameleons, which Ive owned plenty of. They are EXTREMELY hard to care for and keep alive! Thats why I paid so much for mine. An average of like 4% actually make it to be 1 year old in captivity. Once they get there though there pretty much not going anywhere unless you dont feed him lol.
He would make a great showcase piece in someones living room/office!

Very rarely will a zoo/museum take an animal from a private individual. They don't want to become a SPCA of sorts for unwanted exotic pets and they don't know the background of the animal, I believe at least.

Haha, I dont have a camera atm to get any homie or I would. Hes vicious =D
Okay, Ive been bitten atleast 10 times by him..
Everytime you yank him out to feed him out of the cage, he opens his mouth straight up and hisses loud as fuck. Like My gf said in the apt. hallway she could hear it from the bottom and were on the 3rd floor haha. I use 1 glove, no its not steel or anything like that haha, to grab him and the other hand to stabilize him. Once you figure out how to pick him up its easy as shit. Sometimes hes grumpy as fuck though, you can never really tell because he does the shit everytime you take him out =\
When I get bit, I put ice on it and let it sit for like 20-30 mins. After that its all good. He does have atleast 1/2 an inch long teeth that are curved though he will leave in your hand if he manages to get ahold of you =D
Come on, where are the monitor guys? This isnt any harder than one of those =D
Sorry, there is no way Id give him up to SCPA, they would kill him.. Before I did that Id release him in my back yard =D
