For all you AE86 lovers. I can't sleep so might as well make a DYI thread.
DIY: Mounting 92-00 civic radiator fan
So I finally got a chance to post up how mounted my civic fan onto my AE86 radiator. I decided to use this because I was on a budget and I had a civic fan laying around.
You will need-
Tools:
10mm wrench
12mm socket and ratchet or wrench
Drill and drill bits
Round File
Cut Off Wheel, Hand Saw, or Air Saw
Sand paper or Body Man Wiz Wheel
Coolant Pan
Center Punch
Pliers
Parts & Materials-
92-00 Civic radiator fan
Advance Auto(any auto store should have it) radiator fan mounting kit
Coolant(unless you reuse)
ETC to clean after your self
Start by removing your radiator.
-Drain your coolant(plastic turn screw at the bottom of your radiator
-remove the 12mm bolts that holds your radiator brackets to your radiator support
-remove your fan scround(throw away or post it up on here and sell it)
-remove the upper and lower hoes
-remove your radiator
-remover your clutch fan and reinstall the 10mm bolts that attaches to water pump pulley(throw away or post it up for sale)
and then.................
Take the distance from the radiator core and cut off the upper tabs and lower section of the fan so that it sits flush against the core. Clean up the burrs using sand paper, wiz wheel, or a file.

Line up the fan where it will be center of the radiator(there should be a marking on the center of the radiator and the fan)

Use a center punch to mark where you will be drilling the fan where it will not hit the fan blade and the core of radiator( the fins does not hold coolant)

Clean the holes up with a file.

Use the fan mounting kit(don't for get the mounting pads- you don't want to have the radiator core damage from the vibration while your driving) Also cut off the extra of the mounting strap.

Reinstall

Then wire up your fan and enjoy.
Sorry about the picture quality. My camera ran out of batteries and all I had left was my cell phone.............................
good night....I'm tired now....
