HondaCRXsiHatch is an unknown quantity at this point
Default 06 CBR 600RR

gonna be putting bike back on the road been siting in garage for about 2years maybe. already plan on draining tank. any thing else i should do or anything that could have gone bad while sitting.

i've been told that possible chance of bad fuel pressure regulator, fuel injectors, or fuel pump could be bad. or rust in the tank. bike runs but just not well has all the characteristics of bad gas.

well, run all the old gas out of the bike, then pump just about a gallon and run it for a while and hope that it gets getter. It a pretty modern bike, so you never know. . . More than likely im wrong, but even if i was i would let the bike idle until it barely has any gas, then do it again with new one..

I'd say drain the old gas rather than run it through. You never know how gunked up it could be and I'd hate to see a pump get clogged due to old gas.

Drain old gas.
Add new.
Maybe some octane boost.
Oil change.

Then basically do a quick check of tires, brakes, etc and you're good.

scratch the octane boost, and use some Fuel Injector cleaner. Add a high concentration to a tank with a little gas, and let that run through.

YES... that makes more sense than what i said... except the octane boost.. like ^^HE^^ said, i'd use fuel injector cleaner. Wouldnt expect it to work, but it makes more sense than octane boost..

I wouldn't use FI cleaner

But if you insist, only use MAYBE 1/8 of the bottle. That stuff is designed for fuel tanks ALOT bigger than a bikes. Use it sparingly.

Just a thought maybe 100 octane or 110! Steve I can't believe you'd tell someone use FI cleaner. Has that plate started to rust yet? hahahaha. I need to come by and see what bikes you've got I need a new one.
