got a 2001 is300 cd player and radio worked fine up until i changed the battery. I changed the battery and now the cd player doesnt work the radio comes on and works fine just the cd player doesnt work. I called lexus they have never heard of the problem same with go ho audio, tidewater auto electric and every other electrcal shop ive talked to. lexus said there is no reset code and that replaceing the battery should have no effect on the cd player other than the radio station memory. if anyone has any info on what i can do to fix this problem please let me know any info would be appreciated.

 

What's not working about the CD player? Are the track numbers showing up on the display? Will it accept a CD? Maybe the volume is reset to mute or something like that.

 

unplug the system and check it again..

Not sure why it does that as there is nothing that would stop it from working besides just being old.. haha

 

Maybe a CD got jammed when the unit went through its home sequence after the power was reconnected.

 

the cd player jsut doenst work doesnt load doesnt even power up when you press disc. now when you press am or fm trhe radio will come on. found diagnostic procedure and came up with code p190 and p480 wast able to find to much information on the codes.

also tried unhooking battery and unplugging the radio but no luck.

 

i think i have a stock radio...
