Default Resonator Question

I have a Magnaflow catback that drones like crazy at 2-2.5K rpm.

The built in resonator is 4in diameter and it's 14" long. The v6 version has an 18" long resonator. Would moving to a LONGER resonator help quiet it down or would a LARGER resonator do a better job. Or should I just fit the biggest effing one I can on there? And should I replace the current one or add a 2nd in-line.

2.3L 4-banger

Excel spreadsheet magic:
length diameter int.volume
14 4 175.9291886
18 4 226.1946711
14 5 274.8893572
18 5 353.4291735
14 6 395.8406744
18 6 508.9380099

So adding diameter increases volume the fastest, now I guess I'll have to see what fits...

I wanted to vote longer and larger cause I thought this thread was about male enhancement. But I chose add a second.
