Default Eg with teg suspension axle problems. HELP

Disclamer: I know a lot about the Honda game but I will probably never know it all so please dont give me a lot of grief of this is a dumb qustion and i will try to explain it the best I can.

I have a pretty big issue. I have been breaking axles and can't figure out why the axle is too short. I have a 94 eg hatch with an integra front suspension. The car used to be an autmatic and i have the hasport auto to manual mont in it. I am using a 92 integra axle I believe but the pass axle seems too short. Basically whenever I turn right the axle pops out and makes noise and most of the time makes a loud noise and pops back in.

If I turn the wheel and look at the axle boot it seems stretched andthere is obviously something not right.

Also the car isn't lowered yet it actually seems lifted on the front because of the integra susp but the axle is in a straight line from the trans to the knuckle so I don't know of that has anything to do with it.

I'm not sure if any other Honda axles are longer or if the integra susp just won't work or what the deal is. Please if anyone knows what will fix this please let me know.

Thanks in advance and sorry for any typos and the long paragraphs I'm on my iPhone because the comp is down.

You are using manual trans axles, not auto trans axles, right?

I apologize but for you to say that you know a lot about the honda game and you have DA axles on an EG with DC suspension then wondering why it keeps breaking is pure lulz.

You can use either the DA or the DC axles. The only difference is the driver's side intermediate shaft. The DA uses a female halfshaft with a male axle, the DC has a male halfshaft with a female axle.

If your axle looks stretched and keeps popping out its def not a DA or DC passenger side axle.

What buddyclubcivic said is correct. Have you tried other axles or is it the same one giving you a problem. I have got re-manufactured axles before and they would be too short. Actually seen one break at the inner cv joint and bust a hole in the tranny.

well I believe the first one was a dc axle and it broke at the track but had been doing the same thing this one is doing. I haven't tried more than two axles as this one (DA teg) is still working just makes noise and looks stretched so I KNOW it isnt the right one but I had it laying around. I've never had this issue so sorry that I don't know it all as I am willing to bet my life that you don't either (towards the guy who is "lulz"). You learn as you go and I have been out of the turbo honda swap game for a couple years and just made my way back recently.

My point is I KNEW there was something wrong but I don't want to keep going and ordering axles till I stumble on the correct one when I have a "tech" forum that is specifically designed to help with just such a question.

Thank you so much to everyone else that was willing to help without being a smart ass.

To those that were I hope it makes you happy to be able to talk down to me.

Thanks again guys and I will be buying my DC axle tomorrow.
