Okay im sure you have seen this thread before... its been going on for like 4 months now and im ready to give up on her now. What i need is help. It all started from a trojan that somehow invited itself into my comp... after quarantine and deleting it the computer got slower and slower till it turned on one day and gave me a desktop with no start bar or icons... at this time i tried to reload office xp and format the drive. when it prompted me to format it wouldnt let me for some jacked reason. thats when i gave it to somebody from the boards here. He tried working with it and the thing came back to me without a video signal...(great!) soooo i then passed it on to another dragva'er and he tried... nothing came of it because of the lack of video... so now im here... So what im looking for is somebody to fix this computer... or at least tell me whats wrong with it. I dont have access to extra parts to put in and see if it makes it better...or i would do this myself. OOOOR what im asking of somebody... is not to fix this pos anymore... is just to take my f'ing comp and tell me what needs to be changed! If i have to i will buy a bare comp and start over using what pieces i can from this one to build a second one. Can somebody help me my second comp is a laptop so i cant exactly swap parts in and out of it to see what needs fixing...

try another videocard as a test someone prolly broke it and blamed it on the virus

slam your face against your monitor.

 

Find a computer store that does diagnostic work. It'll prolly cost you $25-$30 for diagnostic... then whatever else to fix it if you want them to do it. If not, pay the diagnostic and fix it yourself.
