Default What I just finished tonight, well for later on today

Bored and decided to show what I been up to since friday(besides all the other cars and etc)

So one of my guys in the crew finally got some coil overs for his AE86. The rears were installed earlier during the week. The fronts had to be welded to the stock section of the front shock tubes.

50mm had to be cut off from the bottom up of the shock tube. Had to prept both section where the two section meets to be welded. Had to do every thing quick cause lunch break is never long enough..lol..j/k Phil please dont fire me.........

Slide the bottom section of the megan coil over sleeve on.

Welded.

Stop by HQ Coating to get them sand blasted and powder coated.(by the way sand blasted the bottom section earlier in the pictures) Thanks Quang for the good job and pricing!

Out of the oven cooling off.

BAM! assembled(brake line bracket wasn't shown in the pictures) looks almost like my Greddy's from my own AE86.

Setting the height. What a happy looking guy.

Too bad its late and I dont' have access to an alingment machine right now. But off in a couple hours where we'll be drifting at Summit Point for Drift Nirvnava................hopefully get some pictures while he's going sideways.

I'm pooped....

Thanks guys. and yes the lower section is cast and the upper section(stock is steel) for welding cast the material ,must be super cleaned, heated and welded at a high temp. On the Direction on the megan's manual, most forums, shops that carries these recommend having them tig, but mig will work as well.

John, yeah I'm back at JEI full time, more like in and out with most shops in the area by appointments and if they don't have enough help. how's your civic running? and still into the drift scene?
