Odd question for people in hampton roads.
Well my name is Adam and I got a bike last month but well i havent been able to ride it that much since I only have a permit and not a liscense. I was curious if anyone would be willing to ride with me. I know it is a stretch just so far I have only had like one solid day of riding and while it was fun I want to take the class sometime soon so I can have my liscense. This is a really far stretch I know just trying it anyways.

Either take the class then try this again or get way more than one days experience. I dont know anyone that would feel comfortable riding with you.
I did take the class but I screwed up the easy turn that I had no problem with all earlier that day. I downshifted for no reason, which took about all the points it could and since I put my foot down in the uturn that gave like 2 points to fail. I didnt ride out in public till after the class though I just figured that mentioning I screwed up in class might get people to just completely blow the idea off.
Could help or hurt ya, not sure really. You did put forth the effort to learn the right way so I applaud that, but its a pretty easy class so I personally wouldn't. If I could anyway.
was it an MSF class? if so you suck seriously
One of the classes i was in for fun the chick dropped the bike trying to get on it and passed the course.
However what Spin said is true
about a month of parking lot practice then try this again

I rode around my neighborhood every day for about two weeks for an hour+ (REALLY boring, but it was definitely worth it: low speed turns, cul de sacs, etc.) before I took it out on the main roads.

I'm guessing he's talking about dmv, there is no way to screw up msf.
As bad as it sounds, just ride on the street with the permit after you get everything down. That's the only way to learn.

and when you do start riding with people; don't ride with dumbasses that are going to get you killed.
