im looking for a socket that fits the bolts on ep3 civic 2003 lower control arm. it three bolts that look like standard star bolts. not the hex bolts, but it wont fit one of those sockets it has got either one more or less point, its about a size 17mm i believe. any one know where i could get one or have one i could borrow?

seriously....a 12 point socket is a VERY STANDARD socket that you can get anywhere.. they even come in most tool sets (those and 6 point sockets)

 

Yeah if you get a large set of tools from sears it comes with both sets usally.

 

I have personally delt with those bolts. NEITHER a standard or metric 12 point will fit. Usually aftermarket control arms will come with the special socket needed. However my friends didnt. I was able to use my "gator grip" socket to work just fine. It was barley big enough, but worked.
