Anybody want to come shoot trap right now?
I'm bored. Anybody want to come shoot trap in Yorktown ($5/round, 1 round being 25 clays). We only have so much daylight left, so you'll need to let me know soon (takes me ~30 min to drive there). I'm an RO so I can open the trap range, but I'm not allowed to operate it as the only shooter. You'll need to have your own shotgun, eye protection (glasses count), and shells though (nothing bigger than #7.5 shot).
There is
25/50 yard outdoor pistol/rifle
100 yard outdoor pistol/rifle
50 foot indoor pistol (open 24/7)
trap, wobble trap, sporting clays (outdoor obviously. all outdoor ranges are open 10am-dusk M-Sat, and noon-dusk on Sunday, except the shotgun range, which is only officially open on weekends, but I'm a range officer so I can open up at my leisure).
The Friday shooting thing is pretty much only for trap though. If you want to come as my guest and use the other ranges we can work something out after the holidays. If you do so, don't shoot somebody because you don't follow safety rules, and decide you want to join the club, I can sponsor your membership. $220 the first year, $150/yr after that.

You want to go right now? Zeroing will be a pain in the butt with only an hour of light or so though. I'll prob be getting out again on the 3rd with a few VADriven people.
by the time i picked up some ammo the light would be too low...
there is a gun show on the 3rd but i should be able to make it out. i really want to put some lead down the pipe....

I do have brass cased 55gr ammo if you'll comp me the $17 for 50rds I pay for it (actually, I think I paid a little more but that's the cost of replacement)...
but, like I say, it takes me 30-35 min to get there, light might be too low for zeroing at 100yards. Up to you.
If you're free weekdays, after the 3rd there will be plenty of other opportunities. Heck, weekends too. I'm an RO on all ranges...I shoot too often lol.
