Ft. Eustis Karting
Has anyone ever been out there on their karts? I'm right around the corner and never knew about it until the other day.
I went to AIK VB for my first time yesterday so I have a little bit of a karting "hook" atm. Just curious if these are actually as fast as AIK or just your normal run of the mill Go Karts Plus type of karts.

I think the rental karts are just plain karts, not the fast ones like AIK or Motorworld. On Sunday mornings you can bring you own kart and run the track. My son has done that many times.

They are pretty fun, not sure if the place is still open or not though. When I was younger my dad and I used to go out there and even when we called to make sure it was open we showed up and the place was deserted.
Protips:
1) Don't piss off the old guy. He tried to kick me out for accidentally knocking a loose tire from the tire wall onto the track.
2) The kart with the white dot spray painted onto the front bumper is the fastest.

Re: Ft. Eustis Karting
yeah used to take my old race kart up there sometimes, was just a yard kart with a built motor and slicks, but I was just as fast as the real race karts.
never used their karts though, I'd imagine they suck.

Don't think you have to pay... we never did. Just don't interfere with the normal karting hours (you can't share the track with the lawn mowers). Trailer your karts in, carry them across the grass and set them on the track, start up and go. Helmets/Jackets are a requirement, obviously.
