whats with this..im not saying its bad, but lately ive seen a lot of ppl with dx turbo honda's...all i ask is WHY? is money an issue that you cant buy a swap?? or you want to be original?? im just curious..ive seen coupes, hatchs, 4drs..i just figure with the money you spent you couldve had a stock gsr or stock si coupe and been just as fast..

cause you can turbo a sohc with a junkyard kit for less than a grand and be faster and spent less money than doing a motor swap.......shit, a friend of ours bald head dave ran a 12.0 on a sohc dx motor with a junkyard turbo setup, a leaking headgasket and 900000 miles on the motor, they can be crazy fast man........although the average of them arent that great, they can be........

I don't really see the point either EEK... They can't hold up to more than about 6 PSi unless they are built...

I've heard y8 and z6 turbos put down 150+ torque at around 6-9psi...9psi would be pushing it with stock internals, but you can replace those sohc's with half a paycheck anyways.

We customed out a turbo on a DX and it does ~8-10psi and he dyno'd 169hp untuned ,stock fuel ,stock block. I guess it's what ever the customer wants. The car is rated @ 97hp stock. I'm just waiting for someone to bring me a EX and let me boost that

You are misinformed. Thermal from 757Civic runs 10PSI on stock internals on a D16Y8. It's a daily driver and he's never had problems with it.
