Default Need help with ticket...

Ok.....here's the deal...

I was coming home from school just now after 3 classes. I'd been there from 8am-Noon. I'm in a neighborhood, going the way I normally go.

I'm going a 'little' too fast...So a cop pulls me. Went through all of the bullshit....And she was like "you accelerated up to 48 mph before you saw me and slowed down. Are you in a hurry or somthin?". I was like "Yes ma'am I am. Honestly.....my stomach's been killing me all morning and I REALLY have to go to the bathroom." Which was true.....lol. But I guess she didn't hear me, or didn't care. I also mentioned that my speedometer had stopped working for some reason also. It just stays at 18mph and doesn't move.

I've never had a moving violation before. So god dammit....what should I do?

EDIT :: This was in Va Beach.

Reckless driving all because I had to take a shit.....

Well that is defective equipment (take it somewhere so you can get that in writing) not sure if it'll get you out of the wreckless.

When wreckless is involved its always a good idea to get a lawyer.

go to a calibration place...like Hampton Battery on Kecoughtan Rd. in Hampton. They will caibrate your car, or in your case calibrate it and show you have a defective speedometer. They give you a noterized copy. Then you take it to court and they will reduce the charge. I believe the judges have to accept and calibration sheet and reduce it the first time around. if you want a lawyer you can get one. but you definatly need to get you car calibrated. Hampton Roads Battery does our police cars for court so you know they are a dependable place.aight my 2 cents is spent...i'm broke
