i need super cheap outdated dirt crap garbage laptop.

Need it for aftermarket bmw scanner i bought which uses COM3 port which my laptop does not have . When i mean cheap i mean cheap. I am talking Pentium 2 with 128 megs of ram!

Please try to get back to me asap i am looking at a few on ebay but i was hoping to have it by this weekend.

Just get a Serial to USB adapter... cheaper.

Yeah, OP, I'm thinking your talking about a laptop with a serial port. COM3 could be assigned to any port, including one of your USB ports.

 

yeah thats what i meant.

I got a usb adapter but the software does not recognize it as being a COM port. And i cant seem to find a driver that works
