That's one of the good thing about the more popular online tire places, they go through tires fast.
All the tires I've gotten online have been at most a few months old.

The last time this subject was brought up, they said even Discounttire and Tirerack were guilty of selling old tires.
Maybe if you had some uncommon tire size, but my anecdotal evidence from buying tires online says otherwise. Considering the time it takes to ship from Asia, I don't think getting tires a few months after manufacture counts as old.
