Price- I planned to list it at $3500 obo, but I will just cut to the chase to avoid the low ball offers.
I will take $3000 for it with the 18" wheels, or $2300 with stock wheels...buyers choice, but the prices are firm. No trades.
I purchased this car from a fellow board member a little over 2 years ago. I have 4 vehicles right now and I'm thinking about downsizing the collection a bit. This is a great looking car, the stance and wheels really set it off.
Well on to the Goods..
The car is a 1989 525i 5 speed manual with 226k miles. Don't be scared, this is one of those cars that was maintained and I feel will see 400k if you take care of it. It runs and drives excellent.
I have a huge folder full of records for it from new.
It has the following new parts (and many more)
18" Staggered Polished M parallel wheels 225/40 front 275/35 rear
New clutch
Valve Adjustment
Timing belt
Water pump
Vogtland lowering springs
KYB GR2 shocks
The suspension has been completely rebuilt. (every bushing has literally been changed)
New drive belts
New radiator
Thermostat
Hoses
Battery
European Clear lenses
Active Autowerke polished E brake and shift knob
Recent respray delphin gray
Change muffler to 540i unit
Euro moldings (notice there are no reflectors on the bumpers)
So many other things have been done as well!
I replaced the battery Dec 2009 and the car will be getting a fresh oil change today.
Will need a state inspection.
Car is mechanically ready for another 60-70,000 miles for a new timing belt at that time.
The car has a wicked rake stance to it that grabs eyes.
Also, this car can be run on 87 octane and performs fine. Interior is Dove grey...it is in nice shape, but not as mint as it looks in the picture. This will make a really clean ride that you don't see everyday...and at this price it wont last long.
