1997 Civic EX 5speed with some mods.
Up for sale is a 1997 honda civic ex coupe. 5 speed. Power windows, power locks, power mirrors, power sunroof. The engine is a completely stock d16y8 vtec motor with 110xxxk miles on it(pulled from a 00 civic). Very good on gas. This car is in very good shape,working a/c. the paint is fantastic and mirror like and is a very well kept car. There are mods to the car which i will list below. . No power steering, it has a non power steering rack that was put in.
-Clifford alarm
-remote start
Engine:
-completely stock d16y8 with 70k.
-brand new stock radiator
-2.5inch catback invidia exhaust
Interior:
-Black carpet
-OEM black floor matts.
-Grey striped del sol seats
-type r arm rest
-type r shift boot
-mugen shift knob
-black tweed/cloth mix wrapped door panel armrests
-momo steering wheel
-amber lit climate control
-jvc head unit with remote
-short shifter
Suspension:
-Kyb gr2 shocks
-Tein s tech lowering springs
-SRR rear lower control arm and sway bar combo
-megan center roll bar
-no name upper rear strut bar
-skunk 2 front camber kit
-skunk 2 rear camber kit
-recently installed non power steering rack
-brand new front lower ball joints
-The car rides very well, not bouncy at all and very comfortable, car was aligned and everything adjusted for proper camber at stateline honda, tires last a long time since it is in proper spec.
Brakes:
-Front and rear cross drilled and slotted rotors
-front and rear stainless steel brake lines
-semi metallic brake pads
-integra 1 inch master cylinder
Wheels:
-Brig mag 8 17x7 forged wheels (14lbs a piece, very light)
-Falken ziex 512 tires
Exterior:
The exterior is two tone. Emerald green metallic and midnight black. Everything was painted using Dupont crombase paint and clearcoat. will pretty much last you forever as long as you take care of it.
Black parts-The trunk, the panel extensions(pieces next to tailights), the upper part of the quarter panel from the b pillar to the a pillar,roof, middle part of hood, grilll,side moldings, belt moldings.
-type r grill
-fog lights(need to be wired, have the interior switch, and harness plugs)
-type r power mirrors
-rain guards
-type r front lip
-stock side skirts
-REAL JDM stanley headlights, with city lights
hood has a crease in it, only real problem with the exterior.
BAD- Windows are off track (easy fix ) There is a CEL light, idles high to low sometimes. No mechanical problems otherwise. Car rides a little stiff so you hear some rattlie from the passenger door. Previous ownder replaced ball joints and axels but there is a noise coming from the suspension at low speed turns. Windshield wiper lever is loose but still works fine. Lower tie bar cracked and rip out the sub-frame. SEE PICS.
Overall a great DD. I drive it to norfolk everyday for work. Gets great gas mileage and I'm sure the idle problem and CEL can be fixed easily.
