* i'll start off by saying not sure if this is posted in right section *

okay i have black DA gsr's and im not feeling black wheels anymore so i want them stripped what is the best way to go about this or does anyone have any suggestions , besides blasting with piss or whatever ? lol

Yeah, this is the right section.

Are they currently powercoated or painted? If they're painted, you have lots of options. If they're powdercoated, not nearly as many.

If they're painted you can use lacquer thinner, aircraft stripper, sand them by hand, get them media blasted, the list goes on.

If they're powdercoated you can use aircraft stripper or some rather nasty chemicals, aircraft stripper being the preffered choice. You can get them media blasted but media that will remove powdercoat with any speed will also tend to be a little too harsh for the metal underneath. That may work perfectly fine if they're getting painted or powercoated again after that. The aircraft stripper is something that you can do yourself at home though.

Heavy duty paint stripper from lowes or Ace or any other hardware store...

I think you can get it at Wal Mart, I can't remember though. I usually end up getting it at industrial supply places.

No Problem. I always use the Lowed Brand Heavy Duty Paint Stripper just wear gloves and keep away from anything that you dont want stripped cause it is strong.

yeah i'll do them one by one and make sure to take the tires off before my paint on my car ends up stripped lol .
