b16 in a ek........not reading rpms
need help, just swaped a obd2 si into a ek hatch. used the obd2 motor harness and obd2 ecu, not getting any rev reading. checked plugs and grounds.
any help is help

yes swaped out with a good one, and still nothing, i know the vss i tryed was good bc it works in my car

what ecu are you using? check for continuity from vss to pinout at ecu.

When you say OBD2 wiring harness do you mean the stock harness or the one from the si? What distributor are you using?

if you have the 99 si b16, the ecu should be a P2T. the P2P is from the ex. also check out

figured it out. the si wire harness only has two plugs for the ecu, switched to a obd2 ex harness(3 plugs) and problem solved.
