Vinyl Paint
Does anyone have any experiance with painting vinyl? my car will be a different color and i don't have the time to do a different top before this show i'm going to. my question is would i be able to vinyl paint the top i have now? or with the paint crack when the top is folded down?
i called up this place called vinylpro, the guy was saying something about how he has a certain product called surecoat that apparently bonds to the vinyl and he says if applied properly it won't crack. but i'm unsure, thats 50 dollars out of my pocket for a top i'll be replacing next month anyways
nope, wheels i have special idea for them, a very very costly idea, but i think if i can pull it off it will look very dope. top i want to do a darker tan color almost like oak. carlton do you know the color of the car yet?
Quick fix = Keep the top down lol!
But, I have a buddy who paints cars, who told me about this paint that you can paint on a plastic bag and bent it every which way and it wont crack. Not sure if it applies to vinyl, but ill ask and get back to you.
EDIT: if this is just a quick/cheap cover up type job what im talking about is probably not going to work then

I has a couple tricks up my sleeve.
You can try a dye.
Or you can use a high quality plastic paint meant for lexan that flexes and bonds spectacularly.
What color are you doing, black?
