I got owned....
Needless to say driving home yesterday on 66 West, A tractor trailer blew a tire. I had no where to go to get out of the way of the blown tire with out running into the car to the side of me. I decided instead of hitting the car that was next to me that I had to hit the blown tire head on. The blown tire/rubber went under my daily driver (2006 cobalt ss) and it ripped my lip off the front of the car and pushed my fog light back under the bumper and thankfully was caught by the splash guard. I got home yesterday after this and fixed the fog light, but the lip I will need to replace as it is in a bunch of peaces on the side of 66. I called chevy to find out how much a replacement would be and they want 342 dollars just for a lip. Thats crazy. Any one know where I can get one cheaper? I know ill have to get one painted as well.
thanks for any help!

I mean its $166, but the shippings $100. Its not quite the stock lip, but I thought maybe you might wanna change it up.

i used to build transfer truck tires...and considering the tire assembled can weigh 50-100lbs, combine that with the speed of the truck when it blows...
u are very lucky.
pay whatever cost your have to for the lip. could have been a totalled car or worse.
