padded lug nut socket? heeelllpppp

i know they make some sort of a lug nut socket that is padded or made of plastic so it doesnt scratch the lug nuts when you take them on and off. just cant find them. please let me know some info

now do they also make one that is plastic on the outside so it doesnt scratch the wheels? ive seen them before just never both together.

I think it's either one or the other. I've never seen both soft inside and out.

The outside is easy. Give it a quick wrap with electrical tape. Heat shrink tubing works well also.

I've used painters tape before, as well.

the lugs themselves shouldnt scratch. most high end lugs have a key that fits like a glove. therefore no chipping or scratches on the corners of the lug nuts.
