Default looking for a jetta eng .can anyone help?

my friend has a 99 jetta and he locked the 2.0 up and wants to put a 1.8t in it but hell settle for another 2.0 if anyone has any info to hook me up id greatly appreceate it

a 1.8t swap will run him about $6k. Not the most cost effective way to do things. The Mk4 2.0 that G60ING has is what your buddy needs to get his car on the road. I'd love to see a 1.8t put in there, but it will still be just like a stock jetta.

talk about a major chop job. If it would even fit in between the inner fenders, I wouldn't want it. There is a reason why the new s4s have a regular V8 IMO. The W8 will be gone in 1-2 years as they are having quite a few major problems with them. Great concept, poor execution.
