Anyone hear about the ban on mini bikes due to lead? I'm about to go pick up an XR50 for my daughter and was wondering if there has been a final say on this.

I'm not worried about her eating parts off the bike; I'm worried about access to replacement parts.

I'm hoping this is old news and has already been solved?

 

You can run a google search on it. I don't think the ban on mini-bikes has been enacted, and I believe the last I heard the AMA was working hard to get an amendment on the bill to exclude vehicles.

 

Weird shit either way.

I got it anyway........rode it around my neihborhood numerous times..............works like a champ!

Been out of the two wheel scene for a while; just getting back into it. The ban is done; manufacturers solved the issues I guess.

So it's time to order some parts for the fiddy and see if I can't break some bones on it!

 

There was a ban a while back but I think it's been lifted ill have to ask my friend tomorrow.works at a dealership so he should know.
