So the tranny got took apart, figured I need a new diff and 3rd gear set. I bought a b16 cable tranny, and I guess the gears arent interchangeable, because they have the small spline, and my tranny has the larger spline.

So I need just the 3rd gear assembly for a HYDRO b16 transmission. I need this asap, so someone please help me out. Will also work out a deal with anyone who has a junk tranny, but can guarantee that 3rd gear is good.

PLEASE SOMEONE GET BACK TO ME ASAP, CAR IS SITTING ON THE LIFT, AND WASTING TIME.

 

You need the 3rd gear synchro set or the whole gear assembly......I have a parts tranny....I can let everything go for $200.....also I do have brand new synchros, but not the synchro sleeve..........I can let everything go for $250...757-241-0260 shawn....

that type r third gear should work fine in your trans. not 100% but pretty positive, i've heard of people using all kinds of different gears in hydro tranny's

you can use any b16/itr trans 92-up, cable trannys will work too. pretty sad your "mechanic" or "shop" doesnt know that to be able to tell you what to get. lol

 

Actually, we tried a cable b16 I got from RJ, and it didnt work. Splines were smaller. Quit chiming in and hating all the time, shit will catch up to you chris.

I just need my damn gears, and they told me shit interchanges, I just wanted to double check because im paranoid. So thanks for the dumb post.

 

the 92-93 cable b16 will work, the 90-91 b16 trans have smaller splines. "will catch up to me" huh? right. that a threat or something?

 

Take it how you want, keep running your mouth for no damn reason, and it damn sure will catch up to you.
